We love this pea burger recipe. Perfect to serve as vegetarian alternative to burger made with meat. We use Birds Eye garden peas to create this delicious burger. Simply top with your favourite toppings and relish.

Our method

  1. Soak the oats in the milk.
  2. Cook the peas according to cooking instructions on pack. 
  3. Sauté the onion in butter until soft.
  4. Mash the peas with a fork and mix with the onion, egg, lemon juice and cumin.
  5. Form the mixture into a burger shape.
  6. Fry or grill on a medium-low temperature, until browned on both sides.
     
  7. Serve in some crusty bread with your favourite burger fillings. 

Tip!

  • Perfect with homemade wedges and a mixed salad.
