Pacific Cod belongs to the same fish family as Alaska Pollock and haddock – known as the Codfish or Gadidae. They have an elongated body, a protruding upper jaw and a prominent chin barbel. Pacific Cod can grow up to more than 1 m in length and can live for up to 25 years, but are regularly caught when they are younger. They feed on benthic animals such as worms, molluscs and crustaceans, but also on other fish and squid.
Pacific Cod is caught with Trawls, Pots and Traps and is available in our Birds Eye fish fingers.

FISHERMAN STORIES
Imagine sailing the seas at all hours, facing all weathers to bring home the freshest fish. Our fishermen, just like The Captain, eat the cold for breakfast, washed down with a glug of driving rain. So make yourself a fish finger sandwich, pull up a chair and put yourself in the ice-cold boots of those who brave the oceans.
