We Pick Our Peas at the Right Moment

We have fieldsmen and fieldswomen who walk the fields every day to check on our crops. We pay close attention to the growth cycle of our harvest to ensure our peas are picked at the perfect time.

The great taste of our peas is the result ofa process that begins every autumn. We take care of all the small details in each step of the process to help produce the very best-tasting sweet and tender peas.

As Good as Fresh

Our freshly picked Garden Peas and Petits Pois are frozen at their peak ripeness, in just 2.5 of being picked from the field. 

We go through the careful process of freezing our peas soon after they are picked because to prevent loss of nutrients and lock in freshness. By freezing our peas quickly, we are able to bring you fresh-frozen peas that retain their natural vitamins and minerals

The Perfect ReciPEA

Sam Thompson’s V.I.PEA visit to the Birds Eye Pea Operation inspired Louise Thompson, No.1 Sunday Times Best Selling Author and TV personality (and Sam’s sister!), to whip him up a delicious pea-inspired medley, celebrating the sweetness of our peas. 

In addition to the Thompson family favourite recipe of pea soup with crispy pancetta, Louise created a vibrant pea-guac with nachos, washed down with a refreshing pea & elderflower mocktail. You can find the recipes here!
